It's the last week of our Mid-Winter Christmas Display ⛄ come by from Wednesday to Sunday from 3:30-5:30pm for a crisp walk among homemade garden installations from recycled materials.

Our display is open! Start the school holidays with Mid Winter Christmas Magic ✨ Plus we're open for afternoon tea Wednesdays and Thursdays during the display!

Take a selection of freshly baked scones, add a glass of bubbles 🥂 enjoy the smell of fresh pine 🌲 and bring it all together in one of Ashburton’s most ❄️festive ❄️country estates. Now you have the perfect winter’s afternoon this school holidays.

Wear a warm coat 🧥you’ll even be able to enjoy a special Christmas Display in the gardens of the estate!

We invite you to our ☃️ Mid-Winter Christmas High Tea ☃️ the perfect setting in our Ashburton for pretending we’re in the northern hemisphere and enjoying all the cozy Christmas-time treats winter has to offer.

Starting at 2:00pm, you’ll be treated to bubbles, a specially themed 🌠festive High Tea🌠 (both savoury and sweet) featuring mouth-watering morsels made fresh in our kitchen, surrounded in timeless luxury. Sip tea out of fine china, watch the twinkling lights of the Christmas Tree 🎄 get cozy by the fire and enjoy making new memories with your loved ones.

July Afternoon Tea! Hemsworth Estate is open most

July Afternoon Tea! Hemsworth Estate is open most Wednesdays for Afternoon Tea from 1:00-4:00pm and during the school holidays we've extended our afternoon tea hours to match our Mid-Winter Christmas Display on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

See the details below:
🕰 Arrive anytime between 1:00pm and 3:30pm (we will close at 4:00pm)
📞 No need to book but please do call ahead if you have dietary requirements or a group of 5 or more.
🌹 Choose your own table in Morning Room or call to reserve an outdoor table in warm weather.
☕ Be served a fresh pot of french press coffee, or a pot of tea of your choice.
🍰 Choose from a selection of seasonal cake, biscuits and tea sandwiches available for purchase. (Altogether your total won’t be more than $20 per person.)
🐾 Spend the afternoon catching up with your group, take a wander around the gardens and take a small tour around the Homestead. (You might even get to meet Willow, the puppy!)
🛎 When you’re ready to leave, pay via cash, bank transfer or credit card.
