Home to New Zealand’s first Hampshire Sheep Stud, it has been lovingly restored with luxury accommodation, romantic gardens and the ability to step back in time. In its seclusion, you’ll experience the distinct feeling of time slipping away as you explore the estate. Visit us for Afternoon Tea

Hemsworth Estate is open most Wednesdays for Afternoon Tea from 1:00-4:00pm.

Arrive anytime between 1:00pm and 3:30pm (we will close at 4:00pm)

No need to book but please do call ahead if you have dietary requirements or a group of 5 or more.

Choose your own table in Morning Room or call to reserve an outdoor table in warm weather.

Be served a fresh pot of french press coffee, or a pot of tea of your choice.

Choose from a selection of seasonal cake, biscuits and tea sandwiches available for purchase. (Altogether your total won’t be more than $20 per person.)

Spend the afternoon catching up with your group, take a wander around the gardens and take a small tour around the Homestead. (You might even get to meet Willow, the puppy!)

When you’re ready to leave, pay via cash, bank transfer or credit card.
